Victor Osimhen: Future uncertain for proposed Mbappé replacement as contract talks continue

Victor Osimhen has piqued the interest of numerous European teams, who are hoping to add him to their roster

The future of Napoli and Super Eagles forward Victor Osimhen at the Diego Maradona Stadium remains unknown due to a contract renewal that has yet to be finalised.

According to TuttoNapoli’s recent report on the 24-year-old’s future, discussions between the player’s agent, Roberto Calenda, and the president of his present club have been going on for five days.

However, an agreement has not been reached due to difficulties surrounding the salary size and establishing an exit clause, which Osimhen is said to be requesting.

The situation has proven complex, but there has been no indication of a complete breakdown in communication between the parties involved.

While Paris Saint-Germain looms as a potential threat to lure the former LOSC Lille forward out of Naples as Kylian Mbappe’s future, it is not ruled out that Osimhen may decide to remain with his current club without renewing his contract, according to reports.

The uncertainty surrounding Osimhen’s future has raised speculation and intrigue among football enthusiasts and clubs alike.

The Super Eagles striker’s impressive performances and goal-scoring prowess have caught the attention of several top clubs, making his contractual situation a focal point of interest in the transfer market.

Osimhen’s representatives and the club’s management will likely seek common ground to resolve the salary and exit clause issues as negotiations continue.

While PSG’s interest adds another layer of complexity to the situation, the possibility of Osimhen remaining with his current club remains on the table.
