Chukwueze has just one year left on his contract at Villarreal, and the club is looking to make some profit if he leaves
Villarreal are offering Tottenham Nigerian forward Samuel Chukwueze-plus-cash in a swap deal that would see Giovanni Lo Celso go the other way, Soccernet.ng reports.
Chukwueze has just a year left on his contract at Villarreal, and there are reports that he is not looking to extend his stay at the club. He is having his best season yet with 13 goals and 11 assists in 49 appearances for the Yellow Submarine.
Earlier reports were linking him with a transfer to Spanish giants Real Madrid. However, according to Relevo, Chukwueze prefers a move to the Premier League.
Villarreal do not want to lose the 24-year-old forward on a free next summer, and they are already looking to offload him already.
Relevo reports that Villarreal are offering Chukwueze plus cash to Tottenham. And in exchange, they want Giovanni Lo Celso.
The Argentine midfielder is owned by Tottenham, but he is on loan at Villarreal, and the Yellow Submarine are looking to keep him. Since Chukwueze is unwilling to pen a new deal, Villarreal are looking to use him as barter for Lo Celso, who is valued at €18million per transfermarkt.
Chukwueze was linked to Arsenal last summer, but the deal did not work out. Villarreal would want to pull all the possible strings to ensure that they don’t lose their Nigerian star for free.
