Monaco and Rennes have emerged as potential destinations for highly sought-after Fulham defender Tosin Adarabioyo, Soccernet.ng understands.
The 25-year-old centre-back has caught the attention of both Ligue 1 clubs, as reported by reputable journalist Fabrice Hawkins.
Notably, other suitors from Italy and England have also expressed their interest in the talented former Manchester City prodigy.
Fulham, however, had made it clear in January that they were determined to keep Adarabioyo in their ranks, having exercised the option in his contract to extend his stay at Craven Cottage until the summer of 2024.
This decision was a testament to the defender’s remarkable contributions since joining the club from Manchester City in 2020, amassing an impressive 107 appearances for the Cottagers.
Under the astute leadership of Marco Silva, Fulham finished a commendable 10th in the Premier League during their triumphant return to the top division after winning the Championship.
Yet, the allure of European competition may prove enticing to Adarabioyo, with Rennes qualifying for the Europa League and Monaco concluding their campaign in a respectable sixth place in the fiercely competitive French top flight.
Serie A giants Inter Milan were also reportedly interested in Adarabioyo.
Adarabioyo’s club career is as uncertain as his international future. The defender always had his eyes set on playing for England. Still, the Nigeria Football Federation has not hidden its desire to have the Fulham man feature for the Super Eagles.
