Aston Villa willing to pay €50m for Real Madrid’s target – report

Super Eagles and Villarreal winger might not be in the La Liga much longer as Premier League teams show firm interest…

Super Eagles winger, Samuel Chukwueze has been linked with a €50m to Aston Villa, Soccernet.ng reports.

The Villarreal attacker had an outstanding season with Villarreal, helping out with six goals and five assists in the league, including a notable brace at the Santiago Bernabéu against Real Madrid in a rare win for The Yellow Submarines.

The one-time Europa League winner has been one of Villarreal’s most-priced assets over the past two seasons, making leaps in bounds, and has become a key player in the yellow subway attack.

However, there is a possibility that he will leave the team this summer due to the numerous offers he has received from the Premier League.

Being just 24 years old, the pacy wingers’ characteristics fit perfectly with the style of play practised in England. Hence, several teams in the English top flight have shown interest in signing the right winger and have gone to the Estadio de la Cerámica to ask about their purchase price. Former Villarreal Manager, Unai Emery, who has insisted on signing the Nigerian international, is willing to pay the African player’s clause, which amounts to 50 million euros.

Aston Villa, already in an abundance of wingers like John McGinn and Leon Bailey, are looking to build competition in the squad hierarchy as they look to press on into European places and possibly get into the big six in the league

In addition to Aston Villa, West Ham and Arsenal are also reported to be interested in Chukwueze’s signature as they look to build their squad depth and have more competition on the right flank, while outside the Premier, Real Madrid has also been following his development.

He is on the list of suitors as the club just let go of three attackers, Eden Hazard, Karim Benzema and Marco Asensio.
