Sevilla, Barcelona and other European clubs show interest in Golden Eaglets ‘new Daniel Amokachi’

Charles Agada, who registered a goal and assist against South Africa, has been likened to Daniel Amokachi

Nigeria Under-17 star Charles Agada has piqued the interest of some European clubs following his recent performance in his academy and also for the Golden Eaglets, Soccernet.ng reports.

The 16-year-old, recently likened to Daniel Amokachi for his speed, skills and power, has recently gained media attention following his impressive performance against South Africa at the 2023 U-17 Africa Cup of Nations tournament.

Soccernet.ng speaking to the Chief Scout of Mavlon FC, Raymond Hassan, we can exclusively confirm that the Nigerian youngster is making a good impression on some football clubs in Europe.

Agada, a JSS 3 student of Palm College in Lagos, scored an equalizer in the 34th minute of the last Group Stage tie against the Amajimbos and provided an assist to Light Eke in the second half of the game.

Following this, a report revealed that Segunda División’s side, Granada CF, is closing in on him, although he would have to clock 18 years old to move to play in Europe.

But reports revealed that he had had a couple of training sessions with the club, and they are looking in on tying him up for a transfer deal in the nearest future.

However, the Chief Scout of Mavlon FC revealed that other Spanish clubs like Barcelona and Sevilla, as well as some Italian teams that watched him during a tournament in Italy before his trip to Algeria, have shown interest in him.

“Sevilla are interested because they said he reminds them of Sergio Aguero due to his style of play,” Hassan told Soccernet.ng. “Barcelona and some other Italian teams that watched him during the 73rd World Youth Viareggio Cup in Italy last month.”

Sergio Aguero, to Spaniards, is more like water to man, and his quick feet, as well as goal-scoring prowess, are things that stood out for him at Atlético Madrid and during his little time with Barcelona.

Agada, when his time comes, might be one of those players that would be putting Nigeria on the world map again if consistent with his style of play.
