Manchester United ready to splash €60 million to sign Victor Osimhen’s Napoli teammate

Manchester United has had Victor Osimhen on its radar since the summer transfer window, and the English club is setting up a bid for his colleague

Manchester United are reportedly willing to pay €60 million to recruit Victor Osimhen’s teammate, Kim Min Jae, whose contract includes a release clause.

Soccernet.ng understands that the Old Trafford outfit are in the driver’s seat in the race for the 26-year-old Napoli center-back’s services as a result of his standout season for his team.

To find a prospective successor for the former Fenerbahce defender, FootballItalia reports that Parthenopeans have begun digging into the European market.

Before Fenerbahce’s current season began, the Gli Azzurri bought the Korean player and enticed him to the Serie A team to replace Kalidou Koulibaly, who had departed for Chelsea.

The center-back, though, has excelled in just his first season with Napoli, and other teams all over Europe are eager to sign him.

Meanwhile, it seems that he has not only filled Koulibaly’s shoes but also above expectations. Along with Osimhen, he has served as the backbone of Napoli, helping them break their Serie A trophy drought.

The Korean player’s deal with the Neapolitans expires in 2025, thus he may only stay a short while before switching to Manchester United to fix the Red Devils’ defensive problems.
