Juventus Legend Del Piero points out what makes Osimhen excellent for Napoli this year

The Nigerian star earned the Neapolitan fans their first scudetto in 33 years with his spectacular strike against Udinese

Former Juventus forward, Alessandro Del Piero, has emphasized traits that have made Napoli forward, Victor Osimhen, outstanding for his side this season, Soccernet.ng understands.

According to the Italian, the Super Eagles talisman has improved a lot for the Parthenopeans this season, which includes his courage and determination to score more goals for the club.

The Nigerian star has been making history all season, and last night scored the goal that gave the Gli Azzurri their third Scudetto title in 33 years.

After scoring 22 goals, breaking Samuel Eto’o’s record for the most goals scored by an African striker in the Serie A, the striker has been hailed by many for accruing accolades, home and abroad.

The latest to compliment the Nigerian international was Del Piero, who didn’t hold back in describing him as a wonderful talent in an interview with Sky Sport Italia.

“What more can be said about Osimhen, this extra-ordinary player, a symbol of the modern striker?”,

Del Piero also praised Osimhen for his sheer determination and his hunger to score goals.

“He has managed to improve during the season. He has some particular characteristics that I love, such as courage, determination, the hunger to score and to do well. It doesn’t matter whether he misses three chances or scores three goals, because he will start the very next move with the same level of determination.”

Osimhen has registered 27 goals for Napoli this season, 5 of those coming in the Champions League, and has won the hearts of the citizens of Naples, alongside his teammate, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia.
