Chelsea sent scouts to monitor Osimhen in Napoli’s loss at Monza

Osimhen has been linked with Chelsea in recent months, and the Blues have taken a big step toward signing him

Former English Premier League champions Chelsea sent scouts to watch Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen in Napoli’s 2-0 loss to Monza on Sunday, Soccernet.ng

Osimhen has attracted interest from some top clubs in Europe. The 24-year-old hitman has spurred Napoli to their first Serie A title since 1990 with his explosive goalscoring ability.

The former Lille man has scored 28 goals in 38 appearances for the Partenopeans this season.

Manchester United, Real Madrid, Newcastle United, PSG, and Chelsea have all emerged as potential destinations. However, they would have to surmount the heavy €150million price tag that Napoli have placed on the striker.

Chelsea are in dire need of a striker, and they have started making moves to secure his signature. According to GFNI, Chelsea scouts were present at the Brianteo to watch Osimhen. However, they were not impressed by his performance as the Partenopeans fell to a 2-0 defeat.

Osimhen has never hidden his desire to play in the Premier League. But for Chelsea to sign him, they would need to sell a lot of players to balance their books.

Napoli President Aurelio De Laurentiis is known to be a shrewd businessman, and he would surely do everything possible to get a huge fee before he lets Osimhen leave Naples.
