“We did with others”- AC Milan defender Kjaer not moved by Osimhen’s threat

Victor Osimhen’s injury has kept him out of Napoli’s domestic league and Champions League matches against AC Milan

AC Milan defender, Simon Kjaer, has downplayed Victor Osimhen’s threat during their reverse Champions League fixture against Napoli.

The 34-year-old believes that the Nigerian attacker cannot pose a danger to the Red and Blacks’ defence when they square off on Tuesday night at the Diego Maradona stadium.

The forward has been absent from Luciano Spalletti’s team due to an injury he sustained while representing the Super Eagles during the international break.

The Super Eagles star declared his presence with a shot on goal when he returned to the squad for Napoli’s home match against Verona on Saturday.

In his absence, the Rossoneri defeated Napoli by a score of 4 goals to 0 in Napoli during a league match, and they also won by a score of 1 goal in the first leg of their Champions League match against Napoli.

Meanwhile, Osimhen’s danger to the Milan defence was brushed aside by Danish defender Kjaer in a pre-game press conference ahead of the match against Napoli, saying that he would be handled like any other player.

“We meet him as we did with others, we don’t work on just one player but on the whole team, with the utmost respect.” he said, as quoted by Tutto Napoli.

Both in the domestic league and the Champions League, Luciano Spalletti’s team has lost both of their most recent encounters with AC Milan. The Napoli team will be seething to get revenge on Stefano Pioli’s men when they face them in Naples.
