Napoli striker Victor Osimhen could be considering a transfer to Bayern Munich due to his German girlfriend, Soccernet.ng understands.
In a post on Twitter, football journalist Christian Falk suggests that Osimhen’s girlfriend Stephanie would like to return to her homeland, and this could sway the striker’s decision-making when it comes to his future.
Osimhen has been in impressive form this season, scoring 26 goals and providing five assists in all competitions. The Super Eagles striker has been included in conversations about the best strikers in the world.
Although Osimhen has been linked with a potential move to the Premier League with Chelsea and Manchester United reportedly interested, Falk suggests that his girlfriend’s desire to return to Germany could make a move to Bayern Munich more likely.
Falk wrote, “Victor Osimhen’s girlfriend Stephanie is German and would like to return to her homeland. That’s why the striker is also open for a transfer to FC Bayern.”
Bayern Munich is one of the biggest clubs in Europe and has enjoyed success in both domestic and international competitions.
However, the German champions may not be willing to pay the €150 million fee Napoli would likely demand from suitors in the summer.
While Chelsea, Manchester United, and even Newcastle United are believed to be ready to meet Napoli’s demands to secure the services of Osimhen, it remains to be seen where the Nigerian striker will end up next season.
