The two Nigerian stars have been delivering excellent performances for their respective clubs in Belgium
Gift Orban and Victor Boniface’s agent, Atta Aneke, has predicted a hot summer transfer for two Belgian sides, KAA Gent and Union SG, soccernet.ng understands.
By delivering outstanding performances for their respective teams in the Jupiler Pro League, the two Nigerian players have done their nation proud.
In his 11 games for the Bufallos this season, Orban, who just joined from Stabaek Football, has scored 14 goals. Boniface, who has travelled the same journey from Nigeria to Norway and then to Belgium, is presently the second-highest scorer in the Europa League.
However, Aneke, who is in charge of both players, has said, according to voetbalnieuws, that prominent European teams have made offers for both players.
He said, “I would be lying if I said there was no interest for them.”
“It would be unusual if that weren’t the case,” the agent said, “when you have two attackers of that calibre and every top team in Europe is seeking for a number nine. However, it is different from what we are doing right now. We let the clubs handle it.”
When asked about the summer transfer window, he said it would be surprising if no team made an offer for the two Nigerian players.
“Clubs have shown interest, but no firm offers have been made yet. We aren’t speaking to anybody right now. But if no team made an attempt throughout the summer, everyone would be astonished.” He went on.
However, Boniface has said that he would want to play in either France or Spain, while Orban expressed his fondness for the English Premier League.
