AC Milan target Boniface declares his preferred league to play in amid transfer rumours

One goal behind Marcus Rashford, Victor Boniface is the second-highest scorer in the UEFA Europa League

Nigerian attacker, Victor Boniface, has named his favourite league to play in the midst of some transfer links.

The 22-year-old indicated that he wouldn’t rule out playing in the English Premier League but would rather play in either the Ligue 1 in France or the La Liga in Spain.

The Nigerian has been on fire for Union Saint Gilloise, scoring 19 goals across all competitions, including 5 goals in 8 Europa League matches to propel him into the second-leading scorer in the tournament.

Nonetheless, this has attracted attention from certain European teams, who are eager to strengthen their lineup by adding him.

According to a previous report from Soccernet.ng, the Nigerian star is being courted by AC Milan, Eintracht Frankfurt, and Union Berlin.

The Akure native, however, has said that he won’t rule out any move from any league, most notably from Premier League teams, although he would want to play in Spain or France.

“If the Premier League were to come, I would not say no. But if I can choose, I would rather play in Spain or France.” he said, as cited by HLN

It is unclear where the Nigerian will wind up, but the attention shown by some of the greatest teams in Europe is a tribute to his skill and potential.

The youthful striker, who had previously expressed a desire to quit playing football, might, however, prove to be a significant addition to any side that is able to acquire him during the summer transfer window.
