Young Nigerian striker signs for Arsenal

13-year-old Nigerian forward Nefeye Osaze has penned a deal with the academy of former English Premier League champions Arsenal.

Osaze excelled during his time at City Sports School, a Nigerian academy for grooming young sports talents. He was one of the best players in the Under-11 category.

According to Pulse Sports, he then went on trial at Arsenal. He was very impressive during the four months, as he found the net ten times in nine games.

His brilliance has now been rewarded, as the club have rewarded him with a contract as he looks to continue his development.

Shola Opaleye CEO of City Sports Group expressed delight at the move.

“We at City Sports School are extremely proud of Nefeye,” Opaleye told Pulse Sports.

“I remember when he joined us in 2017 as a 6-year-old, he was focused and always listened to the coaches.

“He is here today because he believed in himself and did something about it.”

Osaze would look to show his brilliance and rise through the ranks fast enough.
