“Doesn’t even cross my mind”– Super Eagles star blows off EPL switch amid Man United and Chelsea transfer rumour

Manchester United and Chelsea are looking to bolster their squad for the 2023-24 season campaign

Super Eagles forward Victor Osimhen has indicated that he has not considered moving to the English Premier League.

The 24-year-old’s potential move to the Premier League has received significant media attention after his impressive performance caught the attention of Manchester United, Chelsea, Arsenal, and several other EPL teams.

Nonetheless, he recently stated that while switching to the Premier League is a desirable ambition for many players, he has yet to consider leaving the Diego Maradona Stadium.

The Nigerian has, in many ways, proved his worth to the top European clubs by scoring 19 goals in Serie A, which makes him currently the top scorer in the Italian top flight.

Meanwhile, this has drawn much interest from elite European teams, including the Red Devils, who dispatched their scouts to keep tabs on him to lure him to Old Trafford in the summer transfer window.

Chelsea is also looking to plan another heist as they look to table Romelu Lukaku plus cash to secure the striker’s signature.

When speaking with the media, Osimhen disclosed that he was not completely ruling out moving to the Premier League, but that it had not yet crossed his mind.

“I think it’s an ambition for all players. And who knows, one day… Right now, I assure you, the thought doesn’t even cross my mind. It would distract me from a beautiful season. Only Napoli.” he said, as quoted by corriere.

The Parthenopeans have slapped a sum of €150 million on the Nigerian international, and an amount closer would only persuade Napoli to sell him to another team.
