“Lautaro Martinez has more quality than Osimhen”- Former Real Madrid striker

Osimhen has been spectacular for Napoli this season, but the former Real Madrid star is not totally convinced 

Former Real Madrid striker Antonio Cassano has stated that he has been impressed by Victor Osimhen, but he believes Inter Milan hitman Lautaro Martinez has more quality.

Super Eagles hitman Osimhen has been one of the best strikers in Italy since last season. The Nigeria international scored 14 goals in 27 league games last season.

This season, he has taken it a notch higher netting ten in 13 Serie A games.

Meanwhile, Inter Milan star Lautaro Martinez has been far from his best since last season. The Argentine hitman has made a name for himself in Italy. He has won the League twice at Inter Milan.

Last season, he found the net 21 times in 35 appearances. This season he has recorded eight strikes in 17 Serie A games.

Former Real Madrid and Roma attacker Cassano has been impressed by what he has seen from Osimhen. But he believes that Martinez is just a notch higher than Osimhen.

 

“If we talk about the state of form, obviously Osimhen is the best in the league,” Cassano told Napoli Magazine.

“But in terms of absolute quality, the strongest is Lautaro Martinez. If I had to choose Between the two, I’d take the Argentine who is very strong, has quality, and moves well.”

 

Osimhen’s brilliance is part of the reason for Napoli’s great run this season. He would look to continue to put up great performances to lead the Partenopeans to a first league triumph in over 30 years.
