President Ronaldo gives the ‘go-ahead’ for Real Valladolid to sign seven-goal Super Eagles star

The Nigeria international has been one of the most impressive performers in the second division of French football

Girondins de Bordeaux striker Josh Maja could be on his way to Spain in January after Real Valladolid received the green light to begin negotiations for the Anglo-Nigerian star.

Real Valladolid have reportedly made signing a first-team striker a top priority when the winter transfer window officially opens.

And top on the transfer list for the White and Violets is Bordeaux frontman, Josh Maja.

Maja has been one of the most outstanding players in the French Ligue 2, with the former Fulham ace recording seven goals and three assists in 15 league matches for the FCGB.

Interestingly, Maja’s contract with Bordeaux ends in June 2023, when he would leave the club as a free agent.

From January, the former Sunderland man will be free to negotiate with any interested team, though. And for a small transfer fee, Bordeaux could even let him leave to avoid losing him for nothing in the summer.

And La Liga campaigners Real Valladolid could be one of the clubs who can take advantage of the situation.

According to Elgoldigital, Real Valladolid owner and president Ronaldo Luís Nazário de Lima has sanctioned a move for Maja.

The 23-year-old is currently valued at €4 million.
