The Italian giants want to continue their drive to acquire some of the finest young talents on the continent
Serie A champions AC Milan have identified Crystal Palace midfielder Michael Olise as their ideal transfer target next summer.
Olise was on the radar of Europe’s biggest clubs, including Milan, when he was a promising talent at Championship side Reading FC.
But Crystal Palace beat other suitors to Olise’s signature in July 2021 after activating his £8.37 million release clause. The 20-year-old signed a five-year deal with the Eagles at the time.
The gifted playmaker has continued his progressive development in the Premier League.
In his first season with Crystal Palace, Olise contributed four goals and eight assists in 31 appearances across all competitions.
Olise has already managed two assists in ten Premier League matches this term.
A left-footed attacking midfielder who can play as a number 10, Olise’s skillsets continue to attract the attention of AC Milan.
CalcioMercato suggests that Milan contacted Olise while still at Reading, but the Italians were not convinced that the youngster was ready for the big leagues.
But I Rossoneri are now ready to swoop for Olise following his impressive displays in the Premier League.
The French youth international, eligible for the Super Eagles, currently has a market value of €22 million.
