Only two more players are now being expected as twenty-two players make themselves available for the national team handlers
Leicester City forward Kelechi Iheanacho is the latest Super Eagles star to arrive in Constantine, where Nigeria ate preparing for the international friendly match against Algeria.
Iheanacho’s Leicester City teammate Wilfred Ndidi was among the early arrivals at the Super Eagles camp several hours ago.
It is a return to international duty for Iheanacho, who was not in the Super Eagles squad that kicked off their Africa Cup of Nations qualifying campaign impressively in June.
Without Iheanacho, Nigeria edged Sierra Leone 2-1 in Abuja before trouncing Sao Tome and Principe 10-0 away from home.
Iheanacho last featured for Nigeria during Nigeria’s failed bid to overcome Ghana for a World Cup ticket in March.
The Manchester City academy product scored Nigeria’s only goal in the slim win over Egypt at the Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon in January. That strike was Iheanacho’s 12th for the Super Eagles and his last thus far in green and white.
With Iheanacho’s arrival in camp, only two players – goalkeeper Francis Uzoho and defender Ebube Duru – are still being expected in Constantine.
Nigeria will lock horns with Algeria in an international friendly in Oran on September 27.
