Oshoala returns to training with Barcelona after WAFCON disappointment

The Super Falcons star was ruled out of the previous WAFCON because of an injury she sustained in Nigeria’s opening game, but she is back and ready to go

Super Falcons striker Asisat Oshoala has returned to training with Laliga Femini side Barcelona after almost two months on the sidelines.

Oshoala suffered a knee ligament injury in the Super Falcons’ opening fixture against South Africa in the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations in early July. Since then, the former Arsenal Ladies star has been out of action.

However, in what is pleasant news, Mundo deportivo reports that the 27-year-old is back in training with her Barcelona femini side.

Oshoala did not partake in full training, as she is not 100 percent fit yet. Still, she should be back to her best soon.

The last WAFCON did not turn out well for Nigeria, as they finished fourth, finishing behind South Africa, Morocco, and Zambia.

Oshoala would look to put behind the disappointment and bring on her A-game ahead of the new Laliga femini season which kicks off o September 10.
