The only Nigerian international left at the Ibrox appears set to leave before the end of the month
Ajax Amsterdam and Brighton and Hove Albion have made firm their interest in Super Eagles defender Calvin Bassey, as per reports.
According to transfer market insider Ryan Taylor, Brighton have made an undisclosed offer for Bassey.
It would, however, be difficult for the Premier League side to win the race for the Nigerian international, with Dutch giants Ajax also keen.

Bassey is unlikely to depart Ibrox on a cheap, with Rangers looking to let the 23-year-old leave for nothing less than £25 million. The Nigerian defender joined the Light Blues two years ago, arriving from Leicester City for a small compensation fee.
Bassey’s move appears imminent, with the versatile fullback reportedly in London for discussions surrounding his transfer.
The Super Eagles star is no longer in the Rangers training camp, and he was the notable absentee as the Gers lineup to face Blackpool in a preseason friendly on Saturday.

Several Rangers fans have expressed mixed reactions regarding Bassey’s possible departure.
Many have, however, resolved to lose the Ibrox faithful this transfer window but have called for the club to make the young defender the league’s most expensive transfer ever.
