The camp of the Super Falcons has opened ahead of the WAFCON with 21 players in camp as of Saturday morning
Barcelona Femeni star, Asisat Oshoala and others are in the camp of the Super Falcons and training has commenced at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium, Abuja.
Amanda Uju Mbadim, Toni Payne, Yewande Balogun, and Michelle Alozie all joined the camp of the Super Eagles on Saturday morning to team up with 17 others already on ground.
Thirty players were invited for the 2022 WAFCON in Morocco and some of the players who are in camp already are;
Onome Ebi, Tochukwu Oluehi, Rita Chikwelu, Osinachi Ohale, Asisat Oshoala, Chinonyerem Macleans, Okeke, Chiamaka Nnadozie, Monday Gift, Rasheedat Ajibade, Ugochi Emenayo, Akudo Ogbonna, Peace Effih, Rita Akarekor, Suliat Abideen, Glory Ogbonna and Opeyemi Sunday.
Other players still expected in camp are; Leicester’s Ashleigh Plumptre, Halimatu Ayinde, Charity Adule, Francesca Ordega, Desire Oparanozie, Ify Onumonu, Chimwendu Ihezuo, Anam Imo and Uchenna Kanu all still expected in camp.
Oshoala in an interview with NFF TV said the team’s aim is to emerge champions in Morocco and pick the ticket for the World Cup. She added that her personal aim is to improve on her last performance at the competition.
The Super Falcons are the holders of the WAFCON.
