The Yellow and Blues have several transfer targets lined up this summer, including one of the most sought-after players of Nigerian descent in Italy
Frosinone Calcio have included Napoli’s Nigerian midfielder Michael Folorunsho in their shortlist of possible targets ahead of a busy summer.
At just 24, Folorunsho is becoming a veteran of the lower leagues in Italy, having taken in numerous loan spells since he joined Napoli in 2019.
The Nigerian descent has featured in 79 games in Serie B and Serie C in the past four seasons.
Folorunsho has excelled at Bari, Reggina (twice), and Pordenone but has yet to step up with Napoli. Folorunsho has not made a senior appearance for the Neapolitans.
During the just-concluded season, the Lazio academy product contributed four goals and two assists in 31 league matches for Reggina and added another effort in one appearance in the Italian Cup.
And according to Roma-based Metropolitan Magazine, Frosinone are looking to recruit the versatile midfielder ahead of the 2022-23 season.
Folorunsho functions effectively as a central midfielder but is sometimes deployed as a defensive and attacking midfielder.
