Super Falcons goalkeeper nominated for top award in France

The Super Falcons shotstopper has been brilliant all season, and she could get rewarded for her performances

Super Falcons goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie has made the shortlist for the best keeper award in the French Division 1 Feminine.

Nnadozie has had a brilliant season with FC Paris. The 21-year-old has kept eight clean sheets in 19 games for the Parisians. Paris also has the third best defence in the French top-flight, conceding 18 goal in 19 games.

Her performances have helped Paris to third place on the league table, and by extension, their first Champions League berth since they got promoted to the Division 1 six years ago.

The brilliance of the former Rivers Angels star has not gone unnoticed, as she made the shortlist for the best keeper for the outgoing 2021/22 season.

Nnadozie will slug out with Bordeaux shotstopper Mylène Chavas, Lyon’s Christiane Endler, GPSO 92 Issy goalkeeper Cosette Morche, and PSG’s Barbora Votikova.

There are still three games left this season, and Nnadozie would look to help her side ensure a strong finish, as they sit six points behind second-placed PSG.
