Qatar 2022 World Cup: Ghana face Ronaldo, Senegal get decent draws

The draws for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 took place in Doha today ahead of the Mundial scheduled for November this year.

Nigeria failed to qualify for the first time in 16 years after they were eliminated by the Black Stars of Ghana.

However, Africa is well represented, as Senegal, Morocco, Tunisia, Cameroon, and Ghana picked the tickets to do battle in Qatar.

African Champions Senegal got a decent draw, as they were placed in group A. They face hosts Qatar, Netherlands, and Ecuador.

Morocco was drawn into Group F, where they will trade tackles with Belgium, Canada, and Croatia.

Africa Cup of Nations Bronze medallists Cameroon got a very tough draw in Group G. They face Brazil, Serbia, and Switzerland.

Tunisia, who beat eliminated Nigeria at the last AFCON, were drawn into Group D, where they will face France, Denmark, and the winner of the playoff between Peru, Australia, and the United Arab Emirates.

Nigeria’s nemesis Ghana was placed in a very tough group against Portugal, Uruguay, and Korea.

Full draws

The Qatar 2022 World Cup kicks off on November 21.
