Osimhen sends message to Napoli fans after Fiorentina defeat

The Partenopeans’ hopes of claiming the Scudetto suffered a significant dent, but the Super Eagles star believes they still have a good chance

Super Eagles star Victor Osimhen has urged Napoli fans to keep believing in the team despite their 3-2 loss to Fiorentina on Sunday, which dented their hopes of winning the Serie A title.

The Partenopeans were on a three-game winning streak until they met Fiorentina, who had also been in brilliant form, picking eight points from their previous four games.

Osimhen was outstanding, notching one goal and one assist, but Luciano Spalletti’s side was uncharacteristically poor defense.

Goals from Gonzales, Ikone, and Cabral were enough to claim the vital three points for Fiorentina at the Diego Maradona Stadium.

The loss leaves Napoli’s chances of winning the title in doubt as they currently sit third on the table, two points behind leaders AC Milan.

However, Osimhen wants fans to move on from the defeat and keep their hopes up.

“Hurtful Defeat But Won’t Let Our Hope Be Dashed, We Keep Believing✊🏽FNS🔵⚪️

Napoli has the chance to return to winning ways when they welcome Roma next Monday.
