The Nigerian international came on six minutes before regulation time and delivered a fatal blow to Bayern Munich two minutes to the death
Samuel Chukwueze has been making the news after his historic leveler against Bayern Munich at the Allianz Arena on Tuesday.
Chukwueze was introduced in the 84th minute and scored the equaliser and one enough to make Villarreal equal their 2006 feat in the 88th minute.
Moments before coming on, Chukwueze was seen being instructed by Villarreal coach, Unai Emery.
When asked after the game what the former Arsenal manager told him, Chukwueze said “Run! He just asked me to run. When you don’t have the ball, just run. That’s what he told me.”
An excited Chukwueze while answering questions also added that they need to beat the biggest teams to win the Champions League and Bayern Munich are one of them.
”It’s not a bad night, I think so. It wanted to be a bad night but unfortunately (for the night), it turned out well.
”I think it’s a very great moment. One of the best of my life. The best thing that happens in life is football. I’m so so happy and the team is happy and the fans (up there)… they are still singing. That means the goal means a lot to them.”
The winger further explained what he wanted to do with Gerard Moreno’s low cross.
”I just wanted to hit it so it will enter. I didn’t waste any time. I just wanted to feel the moment.
”I watched two hours of videos before this game. I’m just saying, because throughout the week it was all about the video. It could be three or two hours. If you calculate it, it could be more.”
The attacker said he will celebrate with his teammates in the dressing room first before going back to Spain to enjoy the moment with their fans.
Chukwueze, was seen making beautiful dance steps in the dressing room to entertain his teammates after the game.
