The Nigerian midfielder has been in outstanding form since his new manager took over, and he proved his quality again at Tynecastle Park
Rangers manager Giovanni Van Bronckhorst has heaped praise on Nigeria and Rangers midfielder Joe Aribo after he scored a sensational goal in the Gers’ 2-0 victory at Hearts.
Aribo has been in top form since Van Bronckhorst replaced Aston Villa manager Steven Gerrard at the Ibrox. His goal on Sunday was his sixth of the Scottish Premiership season and his third since Van Bronckhorst took over at Rangers.
After his exploits on Sunday, his Dutch gaffer took out time to praise the former Charlton man.
“Joe is very dynamic, and we talk a lot with him and all of the midfielders about when to be available in the build-up and then when to be attacking spaces the opponent leaves,” Van Bronckhorst told Rangers TV.
“So he is doing better and better, and it was a very important role he had today and, of course, with the goal, he helped us all.”
The Premiership is just over halfway through, but Aribo has already reached his heights of last season when he scored six goals. The 25-year-old has been one of Rangers’ best players this season.
Rangers currently sit at the summit of the Scottish top-flight, four points above Celtic. If Rangers are going to defend their title, Aribo will have a huge part to play.
I’ve followed rangers since 1960 Joe aribo is up with gazza and Baxter I absolutely love him and even if he goes he’ll always be a hero
