Iheanacho, Lookman in action as Leicester lose 2-0 at home to Arsenal

Iheanacho started for Leicester City as the Foxes lost 2-0 to Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal at the King Power stadium.  The Nigerian International could not make an impact as he was subbed off at halftime.

Arsenal took the lead in the 5th minute of the game through a goal from defender Gabriel Magalhaes. The Gunners doubled their lead thirteen minutes later through a goal from Emile Smith Rowe.

The hosts had a poor start to the game and were trailing by two goals at halftime. Brenden Rodgers made two changes at the interval. Kelechi Iheanacho was subbed off for Super Eagles hopeful Ademola Lookman.

Ghanaian International Daniel Armatey also made way for Barnes at the interval. Leicester had a better second-half performance but could not turn things around.

Another Super Eagles star Wilfred Ndidi was an unused substitute as he was returning from injury.

The loss leaves Leicester City in 10th place after ten games in the league this season.
