‘Everyone can learn from Wilf’- Belgian star on Super Eagles midfielder Ndidi

The Nigerian midfielder had a day to forget on Thursday night, but his quality is something to admire, according to one of his teammates

Belgian midfielder Youri Tielemans has praised his Leicester City teammate Wilfred Ndidi, saying everyone can learn from the Nigerian international.

Ndidi joined Leicester from Genk in January 2017, and since then, he has gone on to become one of the best defensive midfielders in not just the Premier League but in the world.

The Super Eagles star is the glue that holds the Foxes team together, breaking up the opposition’s attacking play and laying up the foundation for Leicester City’s attack.

And Tielemans believes every other Foxes player can learn from Ndidi, especially defensively. The Belgium star also praised the 24-year-old’s reading of the game.

“Everyone can learn from Wilf defensively,” Tielemans told Football daily.

“He’s got that reading of the game, where he can just get the ball back. He’s also got the long legs, which helps him to pick up the ball from anyone.

“He’s also very strong physically, although he looks skinny,” Tielemans said.

The 24-year-old Belgian international also added that Ndidi complements his game by giving him the freedom to attack more.

“He does give me that freedom. I know that with him in that position, I can be more comfortable going forward,” Tielemans added.
