The youngster, like many other players, is a fan of the best-selling sports video game according to the Guinness World records
New Super Eagles star Terem Moffi revealed that playing the popular sports video game franchise FIFA 21 is his favourite thing to do during his free period.
Moffi had a brilliant season in the French Ligue 1 season, scoring 14 goals to help Lorient avoid relegation. It got even better for the 21-year-old as he finally made his international debut in Nigeria’s two games against Cameroon last Friday and Tuesday.
But before the clash against the Indomitable Lions last Friday, Soccernet.ng caught up with the former Kortrijk striker in his hotel room, where he discussed what he likes to do during his free time.
Moffi revealed he’s a big fan of the FIFA game, and it was not a surprise to see him playing the game during the interview. The Nigerian international said he’s not much of an outdoor person, but FIFA keeps his company at home.
When asked how often he plays FIFA, Moffi, who was putting on the Nigerian team track wear, said every day.
“It’s basically what I do after training,” Moffi told Soccernet in his hotel room.
“After I have my rest, it’s just Play Station because I don’t really go out that much.”
However, despite his love for the game, the youngster reveals he doesn’t play himself- although some of his friends do.
“No, I don’t play myself in the game,” the 21-year-old added.
“I don’t know why, but my friends always play with me, and they send videos and pictures to me.”
The Lorient star has a rating of 71 on the game, but it could increase to 79. His best quality is his strength which has a rating of 85, while he has a speed rating of 78.
His finishing skill is 74, but that’s more likely to go up when FIFA 22 comes out later this year. Moffi’s shot power has a rating of 75, which is expected given most of the goals he scored for Lorient came from inside the box.
Moffi also admitted that playing in real life is more difficult than playing a video game- even though he has played against some guys that made the game difficult.
“Real life is more difficult, of course. But there are some guys we play on FIFA, and it’s really tough.”
“When you play the proper guys like professionals, who spend more time on the game, more money, it’s really difficult.”
The youngster also added that he has no intentions of becoming a professional, saying he only plays because he enjoys it.
