The Super Eagles star is back at the Turkish club for the third consecutive year, and he could not have hoped for a better start
Henry Onyekuru impressive start in his third stint with Galatasaray continued after scoring his third goal in just two games.
Onyekuru came on as a substitute to score a brace in Galatasaray’s 2-1 win over Gaziantep FK last Friday. He has now continued from where he stopped after opening the scoring in the 3-0 win over Istanbul Basaksehir.
The Nigerian international put Faith Terim’s side ahead with a superb header just before half-time. The strike means he now has 60 goals in his club career.
Onyekuru scored 16 times in his first spell at Galatasaray, helping the side win a league and cup double. His second stint did not turn out so well with just a goal in 12 appearances.
His third spell has turned out to be productive so far with three goals in two games. Onyekuru is currently on loan at Galatasaray from Monaco.
