The on-loan Monaco forward got a brace on his Gala debut a few days ago, and he added another on his first start for the side since joining in January
Henry Onyekuru opened the floodgates of goals at the Türk Telekom Stadyumu as Galatasaray secured a convincing 3-0 victory over Istanbul Basaksehir to fuel their title hopes.
The Nigerian international, fresh from scoring a double against Goztepe FK, was handed his first start in his third loan spell with the Yellow-Reds.
Brazil’s Giuliano had the first real chance of the match for the visitors in the 22nd minute, but he missed from the penalty spot.
And Onyekuru ensured he punished the visitors for that miss when he pounced on a perfect Ryan Donk cross to direct a smart header on target and put the hosts in front shortly before the interval.
Onyekuru's return to Galatasaray is turning out so well. He just scored his third goal in two games and it was a thing of beauty. https://t.co/7JEcpADIgF

Donk doubled the advantage for Fatih Terim’s men after the break, and Mostafa Mohamed placed a seal on the victory with a late penalty kick.
Onyekuru would, however, be delighted with the fantastic manner his return to Turkey has taken.
The 23-year-old winger now has three goals in two games and has helped the Lions to maximum points in the games he’s been involved in.
The latest victory lifts Galatasaray to second on the Super Lig table with 45 points from 22 games, three points behind leaders Fenerbahce.
