The Super Eagles star walked off in the 1-1 draw against Everton on Wednesday night with a suspected hamstring injury
Leicester City manager Brendan Rodgers has revealed that Wilfred Ndidi’s latest injury is not serious- although the Nigerian will miss Sunday’s Premier League clash against Leeds.
Ndidi was taken off just before half-time in Leicester’s clash against Everton at Goodison Park on Wednesday night.
The Nigerian’s season has been blighted by injuries having missed almost three months earlier in the campaign due to an adductor surgery.
However, his latest injury is not expected to keep him out for that long with Rodgers expecting his midfield general to come back in ten days.
“It’s just a slight tear (for Ndidi),” the 48-year-old said in his press conference per LCFC website. “He will be [out for] a week to 10 days, which is unfortunate, but sometimes hamstrings can be much longer than that.
Ndidi’s absence is a big blow for the Foxes, who will also be without their top marksman, Jamie Vardy for Leeds clash. The Nigerian has made 11 league appearances for Leicester this season.
