The Nigerian international continued his impressive start to the year, but Genk missed the chance to go top of the Belgian Jupiler
Super Eagles star Paul Onuachu was on target once again, but it was not enough to prevent Genk from losing 2-1 at Kortrijk.
Onuachu has been unstoppable this season in the Belgian top-flight with his latest goal his 19th in 19 league games.
The 26-year-old started the year with a brilliant hat-trick in the 4-1 thrashing of Eupen. He continued in the same vein on Saturday night as he scored the equaliser for Genk.
Pape Habib Gueye put Kortrijk ahead in the 23rd minute, but Onuachu levelled the scores for Genk four minutes before half-time.
However, Habib Gueye scored his second and Kortrijk second in what would eventually be the winner in the 54th minute.
Genk manager, John van den Brom, sent on Cyriel Dessers in the 60th minute, but the Super Eagles star could not help the away side back into the game.
Gen remain in second place on the table, but they missed a chance to go ahead of Club Brugge in first place.
