The Super Eagles midfielder is gaining back the form that saw him pick two major awards last season after scoring in the Gers 5-0 win over Ross County
Joe Aribo has credited his manager, Steven Gerrard, for his improvement in recent games. Aribo is yet to hit the heights of last season that saw him win the goal of the season and young player of the year awards respectively.
The 24-year-old has not been lucky with injuries this year, missing seven league games earlier this season due to an ankle injury.
And it appears that affected his rhythm on his return to full fitness. However, he seemed to be getting back form in the last few games he has played.
The Nigerian international scored his fifth league goal of the season in Rangers 5-0 thrashing of Ross County in the Scottish top-flight.
Aribo has now credited a discussion with Gerrard for his upturn in form. The former Charlton midfielder revealed he spoke with Gerrard on how he can improve on his game.
“Obviously, when you play you want to get assists and goals and I feel I can improve that part of my game, Aribo told Daily Record.
“I want to analyse and see where I can improve.
“Every single day, I want to improve. I went and spoke to the gaffer and said ‘Where can I improve? How can I improve with my technique etc.”
Aribo will hope to continue in the same vein when Rangers travel to Hibernian on Wednesday.
