Rohr Speaks On Osimhen Drogba Comparison

The Nigerian international playing style has been likened to that of former Chelsea and Cote D’Ivoire striker, Didier Drogba

Super Eagles manager, Gernot Rohr has said his striker, Victor Osimhen, should not be compared to Didier Drogba yet- although he has the potential to reach the heights of the former Chelsea striker.

Former Blues striker, Drogba, was one of the best strikers during his playing days with his physicality, energy and aerial prowess too difficult for defenders to handle.

Although not built as Drogba, there are some shades of Osimhen’s game that is similar to that of the former Ivory Coast star, and that has earned him a comparison with the Chelsea legend.

However, Osimhen’s national team manager, Rohr, insists it is too early to say he is the next Drogba. Still, the former Lille hotshot can become a great player like the ex- Olympique Marseille star.

“Osimhen is not like Drogba yet, but he could become so by working hard to enhance his talents”, Rohr said in quotes gotten from SSC Napoli News.

Rohr also praised Osimhen’s ability as a striker, saying he has every tool you need as a number nine.

“He is intelligent and prepared. He knows how to adapt to his teammates and systems. He has body and speed, and above all, he’s an excellent finisher”, Rohr added.
