Relief For Daniel Akpeyi

The Super Eagles goalkeeper was stretchered off in Kaizer Chiefs ABSA Premiership clash against Bidvest Wits on Sunday

Daniel Akpeyi has thanked fans for their support while he also revealed he has recovered fully from the injury he suffered on Sunday.

Akpeyi needed lengthy medical attention on the pitch last Sunday as he was involved in a nasty collision in Chiefs encounter against Bidvest.

The Nigerian international was taken off after he hit his head against an onrushing Bidvest player while trying to deal with a cross. The injury looked worse at first and was treated for a long time before he was taken off.

Although he has been ruled out of Chiefs final game of the season, Akpeyi revealed he is well now, and his honoured with the show of love he has received so far.

The 34-year-old took to his Twitter account to share the new, saying; To pray is to be in constant fellowship with God, and to be sensitive to the spirit.I win all the time no matter what.

I feel so honored by everyone who showed concern and deep love for my recovery, I’m perfect beyond words now. God bless you all Folded.

Despite the injury, it’s been an impressive campaign for Akpeyi who usurped club legend, Itumeleng Khune in goal.
