Official: Eagles Secure The Services Of England U-21 Star

After a long pursuit which saw their first bid rejected, Crystal Palace have finally signed QPR’s Eberechi Eze for a reported fee in the region of 20 million pounds.

The 22-year-old was linked with a host of Premier League side, including Fulham and West Brom, but it was the Eagles that won the race for his signature.

Eze joins Roy Hodgson managed side on a five-year deal worth 20 million pounds including add-ons while QPR are also entitled to 20% of the sell-on fee.

A statement on Palace website read: Eberechi Eze has signed a five-year contract with Crystal Palace F.C., becoming the club’s second arrival of the summer 2020 transfer window.

The England U-21 is highly rated after a brilliant campaign for Mark Warburton’s men in the Sky Bet Championship last season.

Eze scored 14 goals and registered eight assists in 46 Championship games for the Hoops last season. He picked up QPR’s player and young player of the season awards.

Speaking on Eze’s arrival, Palace chairman, Steve Parish expressed his happiness that the youngster chose the Eagles ahead of their rivals.

“Eberechi is a player whose development we have followed closely. We are delighted he has chosen to sign for us over the other clubs that were interested and we feel that this is the right club for him to continue his development.
