Super Eagles Stars Nominated For Player Of The Season Awards

France based Super Eagles duo, Victor Osimhen and Moses Simon are on the verge of bagging the player of the Season Awards from their respective clubs, Lille and Nantes, following their impressive performances this season.

The club’s supporters have been asked to vote for their player of the season and the Super Eagles duo are favourites for the awards following their exceptional showings before the league was cancelled due to the outbreak of coronavirus.

With seven goals ahead of second-top goal scorer for Lille in the 2019/20 season, Victor Osimhen is a front runner for the club’s Player of The Season.

Osimhen joined Lille from Charleroi in the summer, and he quickly became a fan’s favourite with his goalscoring exploits as he is the club’s scorer in all competition with 18 goals and six assists.

His impressive performances for the French club has attracted interests from the likes of Chelsea, Tottenham, AC Milan and Napoli.

The former Wolfsburg striker will slug it out with Renato Sanches and Benjamin André, who were twice voted Player of The Month.

Meanwhile, Simon scored five goals and registered five assists in 26 league appearances for Les Canaries before the season was cancelled. The winger moved to the French side on loan from Spanish La Liga side, Levante in the summer.

The former Gent star is Nantes joint top scorer with nine goals alongside Ludovic Blas. He has been linked with a permanent move to Nantes in the summer after impressing the club’s hierarchy on loan.
