Days after the birth of his second child, The Nigerian international’s brilliant year on and off the pitch capped off with a big award on Wednesday
Super Eagles winger, Moses Simon, has been rewarded for his excellent performances in the 2019/2020 campaign as he was named Nantes player of the season.
The 24-year-old who just celebrated the birth of his second daughter received 40% of the fans vote following a season which saw him finished as Les Canaries top scorer in all competitions.
Simon scored nine goals and provided eight assists in 30 games for Christian Goucurff’s side. It’s a brilliant win for the Super Eagles winger who only joined Nantes on loan from Levante last season.
His performances have seen him being linked with a move to several European sides, although Nantes have the option of signing him permanently for just five million euros.
While there’ve been reports that the French side have taken up that option, Simon insists nothing has been agreed yet.
It remains to be seen if Nigeria international will still be at Stade de la Beaujoire next season.
