Betting Tips: Double Your Money With These Bundesliga Picks

The German Bundesliga became the first major league to resume football following a two-month break due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Leagues in Europe are still suspended, while some have already been cancelled due to the coronavirus outbreak. But after almost three months without the beautiful game, football is gradually making a return with the German top-flight taking the lead. ‘

Last weekend saw the Bundesliga return to action albeit behind closed doors. The first round of the nine-round of matches left was played last weekend.

Leaders, Bayern Munich, picked up from where they left by beating Union Berlin away from home while second-placed, Borussia Dortmund thrashed Schalke 04.  Leipzig missed the chance to stay close with the pacesetters as they were held at home by Freiburg.

This weekend will see another round of exciting fixtures and Soccernet.ng is back again with betting tips.

Borussia Monchengladbach vs Bayer Leverkusen: The home side come into this clash on the back of an impressive 3-1 win at Eintracht Frankfurt.

Leverkusen was also impressive on the road last weekend as they beat Werder Bremen 4-1 with Kai Havertz at the double.

Just one point separates the two sides who are chasing a champions league spot. Monchengladbach sits in third place with 52 points while Leverkusen are only two places behind with 50 points.

Match Facts

There have been over 2.5 goals scored in ten of Borussia M.Gladbach’s last 12 home games (Bundesliga).

Leverkusen have won five of their last six matches (Bundesliga).

Borussia M.Gladbach are undefeated in ten of their last 11 home matches (Bundesliga).

Leverkusen have scored at least two goals in five of their last six matches (Bundesliga).

Betting Picks: With both sides picking up a comprehensive win last weekend, it promises to be an open game, and that will guarantee goals. (Over 2.5)

Wolfsburg vs Borussia Dortmund: Wolfsburg currently sit in a Europa League spot, and they will be confident of causing an upset against title-chasing Borussia Dortmund.

The Wolves picked up an impressive 2-1 win at Augsburg last weekend, and that will give them the confidence going into the game against Lucien Favre’s men.

However, Dortmund will also be confident in their chances too after coming out on top in the Revierderby last weekend.  The Black and Yellow defeated rivals Schalke 04 by four goals to nil.

Match Facts:

There have been over 2.5 goals scored in 15 of Borussia Dortmund’s last 17 games (Bundesliga).

Borussia Dortmund have kept a clean sheet in their last six matches against Wolfsburg in all competitions.

Borussia Dortmund have won eight of their last nine matches (Bundesliga)

Betting Tips: Wolfsburg play at home, but there won’t be home support for them. Nonetheless, they would be boosted by last weekend’s win and will definitely take the game to Dortmund.

Still, with a lot at stake, Dortmund should edge this one. (Dortmund win or Over 2.5)

Bayern Munich vs Eintracht Frankfurt: The champions and leaders were not at their best against Union Berlin last weekend, but they still got the job done.

They are currently four points clear at the top, and they will be confident of keeping it that way when they welcome Eintracht Frankfurt to the Allianz Arena.  Die Adler suffered a 3-1 home loss to Monchengladbach last weekend, and sit in 13th place.

Match Facts

Bayern are the only unbeaten Bundesliga team in 2020, collecting 34 from a possible 36 points.

The defending champions are averaging a club-record 3.1 goals per game under Flick (50 in 16 Bundesliga matches).

Lewandowski has scored 13 in that time, and 26 for the season. He is only the second player in the league’s history alongside Bayern legend Gerd Müller to reach 26 goals after as many rounds of fixtures.

Eintracht are one of only four teams to have beaten Bayern this season.

However, the Eagles have the worst away record in the league, taking just seven points from a possible 36, and have lost their last ten trips to Munich in a row.

Betting Tips: It’s hard to see anything other than a Bayern win here. (Bayern win and Over 1.5)

Mainz vs Leipzig: Both sides could only manage a point in their respective games last weekend. Mainz came back from two goals down to draw at Cologne while Leipzig needed a Yusuf Poulsen’s late strike to salvage a point at home against Freiburg.

The result put Die Rotten Bullen seven points behind Bayern Munich, and they can’t afford to drop points if they still harbour hopes of winning the title.

Mainz meanwhile are just four points clear of the relegation zone and could be in trouble with a defeat on Sunday.

Match Facts:

Mainz have gone three matches unbeaten for the first time this season (W1, D2).

The 05ers are also unbeaten in their last two home games against Leipzig (W1, D1).

Beierlorzer’s men have won seven of the eight games in which 12-goal top scorer Quaison has been on target. The Swede has one goal to show for his previous five meetings with Leipzig.

Leipzig have already scored as many goals as they managed across last season in its entirety (63). Four more would break their club-record 66-goal return of 2016/17.

Werner has had the biggest hand in his side’s tally this season, with 21 Bundesliga goals. One more would move him into a career-best territory for a single campaign. He has only scored one in his last eight, though.

Betting Tips: Mainz comeback will give them the boost needed, but Leipzig can’t afford to lose more ground on Bayern Munich.

This has the hallmark of a draw written all over it. ( Leipzig 1x or BTS)

Schalke 04 vs Augsburg: Schalke suffered an embarrassing defeat last weekend but will be eager to make amends when they host Augsburg this weekend.

The Royal Blues sit outside the Europa League places, but it could all change if they win on Sunday and other results go their way.

Match Facts:

Augsburg have lost their last five away matches (Bundesliga).

Augsburg have failed to score in their last four away matches (Bundesliga).

Augsburg have conceded at least two goals in their last six away matches (Bundesliga).

Betting Tips: Schalke lost to Borussia Dortmund last weekend, but should still have enough to see off Augsburg who are just four points above the relegation places. (Schalke win)
