Former Juventus Ace Says Ndidi Can Become Better If He Plays For Man City

Sunday Oliseh believes his countryman can become even better should he join one of Europe’s biggest clubs.

Wilfred Ndidi is enjoying a brilliant season with Leicester City as Brendan Rodgers men continue to fly high in the Premier League. The Super Eagles star is one of the Foxes’ best performers this term with his input key to Leicester City’s rise to third on the league table.

Ndidi’s consistent performances have not gone unnoticed with the 23-year-old recently named the Nigeria Footballer of the Year at the Ballers Award. A Transfermarkt report also listed him as one of the world’s most valuable defensive midfielders. The former Gent star sits tenth on the list.

Olisheh believes Ndidi deserves all the accolades, while he also said the Foxes man is the best midfielder the Super Eagles have had in recent times. The former Fortuna Sittard of Netherlands manager is also of the view that the Leicester City midfield enforcer could unlock more of his assets should he join Pep Guardiola’s side in the summer.

“The point is that in the past three or four years, maybe five, he has been the best midfielder we (Nigeria) have. And he has not just been the best we needed to run with, he has been the best we have,” the former Dortmund ace told Brila.

“When you see him doing what he’s doing in a club that is average; with all due respect, like Leicester, imagine what Ndidi will do if he was playing at Manchester City.

“Each time I see him play, I have always been impressed (and feel) that he can do much, much better.”

Ndidi missed the Foxes 2-2 draw against Chelsea at the weekend, but he should be fully fit to face Wolverhampton Wanderers when the league resumes from it’s newly introduced mid-season break.
