Super Eagles winger Samuel Chukwuezed was in action for 82 minutes as Villarreal came from behind to snatch a 2-1 win over Real Sociedad at the Anoeta Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
Goals from Manu Trigueros (Penalty) and Santi Carzola gave the Yellow Submarines the three points over their hosts who took the lead through Willian Jose.
In the 18th league appearance of his season, Chukwueze was a threat down the right with former Arsenal defender Nacho Monreal finding it difficult to cope with the pace and trickery of the Super Eagles star.
The 20-year-old made 10 accurate passes in the game with two of turning out to be key passes. He also had one shot on target and was fouled two times.
On the game itself, Willian Jose gave Sociedad the lead in the 23rd minute of the first half, but Manu Trigueros penalty 13 minutes after the restart restored parity for Villarreal.
The turnaround was completed 15 minutes from time through former Arsenal star Santi Carzola. The win lifts Villarreal to ninth place with 28 points from 19 games while Sociedad stay in fifth place with 31 points from the same number of matches.
