Luis Suarez Wants Nigerian Born Star To Replace Him At Barcelona

With his 33rd birthday approaching, Luis Suarez knows Barcelona will start to look for a younger striker to replace him.

While he has no problem with Barcelona looking already to the future, the Uruguayan international has advised the club to go for Chelsea’s striker Tammy Abraham when the time comes.

The 21-year-old who picked England over Nigeria has been in great form for Chelsea this season, scoring 11 goals in all competitions.

With him in this kind of form, Luis Suarez believes he will be a perfect fit for Barcelona. When asked by onefootball who are the young strikers he loves right now, Suarez revealed he likes Abraham and Inter striker Lautaro Martinez.

‘There are a lot of good players coming through. There are strikers that I watch personally because I like watching football, some young ones and some not so young.

‘One is Abraham. He is the Chelsea No 9. He looks like a very good striker to me. He is very young but his movement is good and his finishing is very good.

‘Another one I like is Maxi Gomez. Not just because he is Uruguayan but because he has so many of the qualities that a club looks for in a centre-forward.

‘And there is also Lautaro Martinez who is also showing what a fantastic level he has.’

However, despite his advancing age, Suarez reveals he is not ready to retire now, and he is even thinking of playing at the next world cup.

‘If you ask me now I would say that yes I want to play the Qatar World Cup, I’m a fighter and I’m ambitious so I want to be there.

‘That’s my wish but it’s difficult to say where you’ll be in two or three years from now.’
