The Super Eagles star scored his second league goal in as many games against Aston Villa on Sunday, and that has earned him praises from former Borussia Dortmund star, Victor Ikpeba.
It was just Iheanacho’s second league game of the season after making his first appearance in the win over Everton.
In what was his first Premier League start on Sunday, the Nigerian international was again on fire, scoring and providing the assist for Jamie Vardy’s opener as Leicester thrashed Villa.
His performance caught the eyes of Atlanta Olympic gold medalist and former Borussia Dortmund forward, Victor Ikpeba who said on Supersports TV‘s Monday Night Football Programme that Iheanacho is completely reborn.
“Leicester is a very fairy tale team for me regardless of their recent performance in the Premier League. One thing I am glad about is the performance of our own Super Eagles forward, Kelechi Iheanachi, who I believe is a reborn player.
“I am simply delighted for him and just hope he will continue to utilize every opportunity that comes his way this ongoing season.”
Iheanacho will be hoping to continue is impressive form when Leicester entertain Norwich in their next Premier League game.
Leicester currently sit in second place with 38 points, six points ahead of champions, Man City, but eight points behind leaders, Liverpool.
