Victor Osimhen kept up his impressive form as he showed the Super Eagles does not need the services of Tammy Abraham after scoring the second goal in Lille’s 2-2 draw against Nimes on Sunday afternoon at the Stade Pierre Mauroy.

It was Osimhen’s seventh goal in the Ligue 1 this season and eighth in all competitions after scoring in the Champions League loss to Chelsea last Wednesday.

20-year-old Nigerian forward Victor Osimhen for Lille in all competitions – phenomenal start:
11 matches, 8 goals, 2 assists.

Loic Remy put Les Douges ahead in the 12th minute before Nimes drew level through a Renaud Ripart penalty in the additional minute of the first 45 minutes.

Les Crocodiles took the lead 12 minutes after the restart through Denkey who finished from a Ripart low cross. Nimes appeared to be heading for an unlikely victory until Osimhen restored parity for Lille in the 80th minute to ensure the points will be shared.

The result puts Christopher Galtier side in fifth position with 15 points, six behind leaders PSG, while Nimes are in 14th position with nine points.
