Video: Cristiano Ronaldo Breaks Down In Tears As He Talks About A Sad Moment In His Career

It’s on rare occasions you get to see Cristiano Ronaldo display his emotional side, but the Juventus star showed that he’s also human after he broke down in tears in a recent interview.

In an interview with British journalist Piers Morgan, Ronaldo was seen crying after he was shown footage of his late father talking about him in the early stage of his career.

Ronaldo’s father did not get to see his son be the player he is today and that hurts the Juventus star till now.  When he was shown the video of his late father, the five-time Ballon d’Or winner revealed he did not see the video as he manages to hold back the tears. “I never saw the video, sorry, he cleans the tears from his eyes.”

When Piers Morgan asked what’s the sadness for him, the former Manchester United star said: “To be the number one and he doesn’t see me anything. He doesn’t see me receive awards.”

The Juventus star also revealed how the rape accusation levelled against him by Kathryn Mayorga has left him embarrassed. He revealed how he turns off the TV because he does not want his children to see the news.

“They play with your dignity. It’s hard. You have a girlfriend, you have a family, you have kids. When they play with your honesty, it’s bad, It’s hard, he said.

“I remember one day I was at home in the living room watching with my girlfriend watching the television to see news and they speak about Cristiano Ronaldo this and that’ and I listened to my kids coming downstairs, and I changed the channel because I was embarrassed.”

I felt embarrassed. I just changed the channel for Cristiano Jr. not to see they speak bad about his father, about a very bad case. It makes me feel so bad, to be honest.
