Despite playing a 1-1 draw in last night’s premier league game against Wolves, Manchester United manager has praised the performance of his side but revealed the team needs to improve on a few areas going forward.
United missed the chance to make it two wins out of two as they were pegged back by Wolves at the Molineux on Monday night.
The Red Devils took the lead through Anthony Martial who finished off perfectly following a ball from Marcus Rashford. However, Wolves restored parity in the second half through Rueben Neves fine finish.
United had the chance to win it after they were awarded a penalty by Jon Moss. But Paul Pogba’s spot-kick was saved by Rui Patricio in Wolves goal which ensured both sides shared the spoils.
Speaking after the match, United manager, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer praised the way his side dominated the encounter but was not okay with their start to the second half.
“Game as expected, we dominate possession, we get the first goal which is a great goal and then the second half, we know they are gonna come out and take some gamble, create a couple of chances and probably got the goal they deserved.”
And then I thought we took control again and could’ve won it. He also added he saw improvements from preseason particularly in the first half but was critical of the team’s second half start.
“First half definitely, that was a matured performance, but second half, we were a little bit sloppier, but yea, we are improving, we are a very young team that will learn and today we learnt on the pitch as well.

There is no one to blame than the manager SOLSKJAER, he is a great coach and has very good tactics, but has no control over some players especially Paul. Paul Pogba does what ever he likes in the field of play. Possessing the ball doesn't matter much in a competitive match but goals. Playing with the chances is not Manchester united tradition. How can Paul take the ball for Penalty from Rashford when we all and even Paul new that Rashford is a better penalty taker than Paul. The worse of it all is that the manager did not even say anything about it, not before not after. Secondly Paul as an attacking midfielder create very limited chances for the Strikers, Paul is not playing for Manchester united victory but trying to play for his own glory, that was why he snatched the ball from Rashford and wasted our obvious scoring chance(penalty). Till now l wonder y the management did not sell Paul and get us Fernandes from Sporting CP and one more striker. The manager made good signings to fortify Manchester united back but yet we need one experienced striker and creative middle like Bruno Fernandes.
