Crystal Palace and Everton played out a goalless draw in the Premier League match between the two sides at Selhurst Park on Saturday afternoon.
The Toffees who had Morgan Schneiderlin sent off had Jordan Pickford to thank as he kept the Eagles at bay with two important saves.
Wilfried Zaha came on for the Eagles in the second half despite handing in a transfer request. The Ivorian international was the subject of a bid from Everton which was turned down by the Crystal Palace board.
He subsequently handed in a transfer request after the bid was turned down, but a deal could still not happen between the two parties.
However, the Toffees went ahead to sign Alex Iwobi from Arsenal for a fee in the region of 40m pounds. But the Nigerian international was not in Silva’s matchday squad after he was not registered on time.
Nevertheless, he will be hoping to make his debut when Everton host Watford at Goodison Park next weekend.
