Chidozie Awaziem: Had difficulties coping with N’jie and Bassong’s pace and physicality but at some point found his rhythm. 5.5
Alex Iwobi: One of the few players expected to shine at the Africa Cup of Nations, however, Iwobi is yet to make a mark. Playing in the heart of the midfield, the Arsenal forward failed to create chances for his teammates and was culpable of some schoolboy errors. However, he redeemed his image by scoring Nigeria’s third goal. 6.5
Oghenekharo Etebo: Sat deep in the midfield and silently discharged his responsibility with ease. His combo with Wilfred Ndidi kept the Cameroonian midfielders from making any serious threat. 6.5
Odion Ighalo: Put up a man of the match performance with two well-taken goals and an assist. 9
Ahmed Musa: Final ball was lacking but set up Ighalo’s second brilliantly.
